Triumph Street Triple 765 R Review
"The best used middleweight you can buy under eight grand."
Used Buyer Review
The 765R is one of those bikes that genuinely delivers on its reputation. That triple engine is the real deal — urgent, characterful, and endlessly entertaining between 6,000-10,000rpm in a way no parallel-twin rival can match. On a used example, check the throttle bodies for hesitation at low speeds, it's a known quirk, and inspect the quickshifter operation carefully because worn units get jerky fast. The Showa suspension is properly adjustable and holds up well, but budget for a fresh fluid change if you're buying anything over three years old. Pay attention to the footpeg feelers and bar-end condition — tells you immediately if the previous owner was using those cornering limits. Chain and sprockets wear quicker than you'd expect given the torque output, so factor that in. Dashboard electronics are robust, no horror stories there. Avoid anything with dodgy service history; the engine internals are strong but they need proper oil change intervals respected.
