Ktm Super Duke R 1390 Review
"The maddest naked bike money can buy, period."
Used Buyer Review
The 1390 Super Duke R is KTM's most unhinged street naked yet, and buying one used means getting a genuinely savage machine at a slight discount — but you need to go in with eyes open. The 1350cc LC8c twin produces a claimed 187hp and it absolutely feels every bit of that on the road. First-year examples had some minor software gremlins and a few owners reported fuel mapping quirks at low throttle openings, so verify dealer updates have been applied. Check service history religiously — these motors are robust but the electronics package is complex and expensive when something goes sideways. Used examples have typically been ridden hard by people who knew exactly what they were buying, so inspect the frame sliders, footpeg hangers, and bodywork for the inevitable scuffs. The Brembo Stylema brakes and WP Apex semi-active suspension are exceptional and should be fully functional. Budget for tyres more often than you'd expect — this bike eats Michelin Power GPs for breakfast.
