Mv Agusta Dragster 800 Rc Review
"Spectacular machine that demands a healthy maintenance budget alongside it."
Used Buyer Review
The Dragster 800 RC is genuinely one of the most stunning motorcycles ever bolted together, and that Triple engine absolutely sings between 6,000-10,000rpm in a way nothing else matches. Buy one used and you're getting Italian exotica at a fraction of new money — but go in with eyes wide open. These bikes depreciate hard precisely because ownership costs are brutal. Budget for a dealer service every 6,000 miles minimum, and those aren't cheap affairs. The Sachs suspension on the RC spec is surprisingly good, the Brembo brakes are outstanding, and the riding position is actually more comfortable than the looks suggest. The elephant in the room is reliability. Early units had fueling gremlins, the throttle-by-wire can be glitchy, and electrical issues aren't uncommon. Always insist on full dealer service history — a well-maintained example runs beautifully, a neglected one will drain your wallet without mercy. Check the catalytic converter heat shield and inspect the wiring loom carefully.
