Indian Ftr 1200 Review
"A genuinely thrilling machine that rewards buyers who do their homework."
Used Buyer Review
The FTR 1200 is one of those bikes that genuinely delivers on its hype, mostly. That 1203cc V-twin pulls hard from basically anywhere in the rev range, and the flat-tracker styling isn't just a gimmick — it actually handles with purpose. Suspension is properly sorted from the factory, and the Brembo brakes give you real confidence. It's a proper motorcycle, not a fashion statement. That said, go in with eyes open. Early 2019-2020 models had fuel mapping issues and some owners reported heat soak sitting in traffic — your right leg will know about it. The electronics suite is comprehensive but the touchscreen interface is fiddly with gloves on. Parts availability has improved but Indian dealers are still thinner on the ground than Harley shops. Check service history religiously and look for updated ECU software on anything pre-2021.
