The X4 1300 is Honda's forgotten bruiser — a bike that never quite found its audience but deserves serious consideration used. That 1284cc inline-four is basically a CB1300 engine stuffed into a cruiser-ish frame, and the result is something genuinely unique: massive torque down low, a throttle response that feels almost lazy until you crack it open properly, and a mechanical soundtrack that's deeply satisfying without being antisocial. It's heavy, make no mistake, but that weight disappears once you're moving. On the used market, condition varies wildly. These were bought by older Japanese-domestic-market enthusiasts who either babied them or hammered them. Check the cam chain tensioner carefully, inspect the final drive for play, and look hard at the cooling system hoses — they're known to crack with age. Parts availability is the real headache; this was never officially sold in most Western markets, so you're relying on Japanese imports and specialist suppliers. Budget extra for that inevitably.
