Cfmoto 700cl-x Review
"Exceptional bang-for-buck if you're realistic about Chinese brand compromises."
Used Buyer Review
The 700CL-X is one of those bikes that makes you do a double-take on price. For what CFMOTO is asking used — typically $5,500-$7,500 — you're getting genuinely good bones: the KTM-derived 693cc parallel twin is the real deal, producing honest midrange grunt and a soundtrack that doesn't embarrass itself. The chassis handles competently, and the retro-naked styling is legitimately attractive rather than just trendy. That said, go in with eyes open. Earlier 2022 models had some teething issues with the fuel mapping that caused rough low-speed running — check if the dealer or previous owner had this addressed via the service bulletin update. Electrics and switchgear feel budget-tier up close, and suspension is soft for anyone over 180 pounds. Parts availability is improving but still nowhere near a Kawasaki or Honda dealer network. Budget for a suspension tune and you'll have something genuinely enjoyable.
