That 745cc parallel-twin isn't exciting — it revs like it's always slightly bored — but it returns 60-plus mpg routinely and will genuinely outlast most owners' interest in riding. The frunk storage compartment is legitimately useful, not a gimmick, and the DCT version is worth the premium if you find one. Buying used, check the DCT fluid if it's been neglected — that's your only real mechanical concern. Most NC750Xs have lived soft suburban lives, which means low stress on the drivetrain but potentially neglected chain maintenance. Inspect carefully. The 2016-plus models got a bigger tank and revised ergonomics, making them the sweet spot. Pre-2016 bikes feel slightly agricultural by comparison. Don't expect this motorcycle to excite you.
