The NC750X is Honda's most quietly brilliant motorcycle, and the used market is absolutely stacked with them for good reason. That 745cc parallel-twin isn't exciting — it revs like it's always slightly bored — but it returns 60-plus mpg routinely and will genuinely outlast most owners' interest in riding. The frunk storage compartment is legitimately useful, not a gimmick, and the DCT version is worth the premium if you find one. Buying used, check the DCT fluid if it's been neglected — that's your only real mechanical concern. Most NC750Xs have lived soft suburban lives, which means low stress on the drivetrain but potentially neglected chain maintenance. Inspect carefully. The 2016-plus models got a bigger tank and revised ergonomics, making them the sweet spot. Pre-2016 bikes feel slightly agricultural by comparison. Don't expect this motorcycle to excite you. Expect it to be completely, almost annoyingly reliable while costing almost nothing to run. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.
