Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS Review
"A properly sorted modern classic that earns every penny spent."

Used Buyer Review
The Speed Twin 1200 RS is what happens when Triumph actually listens to its customers. That 1200cc parallel twin pulls hard from 3,000rpm and doesn't stop until you're well past sensible speeds. The Brembo M50 brakes are genuinely excellent — sharp, progressive, confidence-inspiring. On used examples, check the throttle bodies for uneven idle and inspect the rear shock linkage bearings, which can show wear early if the previous owner skipped services. The riding position splits the difference between sporty and comfortable better than almost anything in this segment. You can do a two-hour blast and not hate yourself afterward. Electronics are genuinely useful — the cornering ABS and traction control aren't intrusive, just quietly competent. Avoid anything pre-2022 if you can; Triumph sorted some minor fueling quirks with a software update around then. Used pricing is strong because demand stays solid, but don't pay over $12,000 for anything above 15,000 miles. The service intervals are reasonable and parts availability is good through independent dealers.
