Used Buyer Review

The GW250 is basically Suzuki's answer to 'what if a motorcycle was perfectly adequate at everything?' It's not fast, not exciting, not particularly light — but it's genuinely well-built and dead reliable. The parallel-twin is smooth as butter at commuting speeds and the fuel economy is genuinely impressive, regularly cracking 70mpg. For a new rider or someone returning to bikes after years away, that predictability is actually a feature, not a bug. Used examples are everywhere and dirt cheap right now, which tells you two things: lots were bought by beginners, and lots were outgrown quickly. Check the fairings carefully because new riders drop bikes, full stop. The mirrors, levers, and lower fairing panels take the hits. Mechanically these things are bulletproof if the oil was changed — the engine will outlast most owners' interest in the bike. Highway work above 70mph gets buzzy and feels strained, so be honest about your intended use. As a city commuter or weekend B-road bike, it punches well above its price point used.
