Ktm Duke 990 Review
"Brilliant naked bike that rewards riders who respect its maintenance demands."
Used Buyer Review
The 990 Duke is KTM finally getting the big naked right after years of trying. That 999cc parallel-twin pulls hard from 3,000rpm and doesn't quit until the redline, and the chassis is properly adjustable rather than set-and-forget like most competitors. If you're used to LC8 bikes, you already know this motor rewards maintenance religion — skip that and you're shopping for a top-end rebuild inside 20,000 miles. Check service history obsessively. Used examples are starting to appear at sensible money now, but inspect the trellis frame carefully around the swingarm pivot and check both radiator fans spin freely. The electronics package is genuinely class-leading — cornering ABS and traction control that actually work rather than just existing on a spec sheet. Orange bikes attract orange bike riders though, meaning many used examples have been properly flogged. Look for highway miles over track day heroes.
