The Streetfighter V4 S is basically a Panigale V4 that got its fairings ripped off in a bar fight, and honestly it's better for it. That 208hp Desmosedici Stradale engine is genuinely shocking every single time you crack the throttle past 8,000rpm — nothing else on the road delivers that kind of visceral hit. The Öhlins suspension and six-axis IMU make it far more usable than the power figures suggest, and the riding position is surprisingly liveable for a naked bike of this aggression. Buying used, you need to be smart. Check service history obsessively — desmo valve services run $800-1,500 and are non-negotiable at specified intervals. Inspect the Öhlins forks for any seal weeping, and verify the electronics haven't been fiddled with. Low-side damage on these is expensive to fix properly. First-year 2020 models had some software gremlins; the 2021 onwards are considerably more sorted. This isn't a beginner's mistake to make on a budget. But if you know what you're doing and find a clean, documented example, nothing else in this bracket touches it.
