Cfmoto 400nk Review
"Solid budget naked if you buy post-2021 and inspect carefully."
Used Buyer Review
The 400NK is one of those bikes that surprises you once you stop comparing it to Japanese alternatives. The 400cc parallel-twin pulls cleanly from low revs, the suspension is genuinely compliant for urban riding, and the fit and finish on post-2021 models is noticeably better than the early stuff. Used examples are cropping up everywhere now, and honestly, the value proposition is hard to argue with if you're budget-conscious. That said, go in with eyes open. Parts availability is improving but still patchy depending on where you live — dealer network is thin outside major cities. The stock exhaust sounds agricultural, and budget riders tend to leave them bone stock, so inspect carefully for cheap mods. Electrics on pre-2021 models had known gremlins; check the instrument cluster and indicator relays specifically. For a newer rider wanting a proper-looking naked without destroying their finances, it makes real sense. Just don't expect Kawasaki Z400 refinement — this is a different proposition entirely, and at the right price, a genuinely decent one.
