BMW M 1000 R Review
"The most focused naked bike money can buy, unfiltered."

Used Buyer Review
The M 1000 R is essentially a streetfighter built by engineers who forgot to install a filter between the dyno room and the road. That 210hp S1000RR engine dropped into a naked chassis is genuinely savage, and on a used example you're getting serious supercar performance for sports car money. Just know what you're signing up for. Check service history obsessively — these engines need precise maintenance and previous owners may have skipped intervals chasing track days. Inspect the winglets and carbon bodywork carefully; replacements are eye-wateringly expensive and tell a story about how the bike was treated. The electronics package is brilliant and genuinely makes the power usable, but don't let that fool you into complacency. This isn't a forgiving machine for riders still building confidence. On a good day on a twisty road, it's genuinely transcendent. On a bad day with cold tyres, it'll humble you fast. Buy one with fresh tyres fitted and budget for premium rubber — it deserves nothing less.
