Bmw F 900 R Review
"A properly sorted used F 900 R is genuinely hard to fault."
Used Buyer Review
The F 900 R is BMW's attempt at a sensible middleweight naked, and honestly? They largely nailed it. The parallel twin punches harder than the numbers suggest — 105hp feels lively in the real world, especially mid-range where you're actually riding. The ergonomics are spot-on for taller riders, the TFT dash is genuinely useful, and that six-axis IMU package keeps things honest when you're pushing on twisty roads. Used examples from 2020 onwards are solid buys, just check the chain and sprockets because owners seem to neglect them. The downsides are real though. That front end can feel vague on worn OEM tires — swap them immediately and you'll wonder why you were worried. The stock exhaust is agricultural and heavy, most used bikes already have an aftermarket can fitted which is actually a bonus. Electronics menu is buried deep and annoying to navigate while stationary, let alone moving.
