Triumph Sprint Gt

The Triumph Sprint Gt has a top speed of 225 km/h, produces 128 hp and weighs 234 kg. Motoryk rates it 7.8/10.

⚙️

Watch the Throttle Bodies

The Sprint GT's 1050cc triple can develop throttle body sync issues over time, causing rough idle or hesitation. Regular synchronization during service intervals keeps it running smoothly.

💰

Strong Resale Retention

Triumph triples have a loyal following, and the Sprint GT holds its value better than many competitors in the sport-touring segment. A well-maintained example commands a premium over neglected bikes.

🧰

Check Luggage Latch Wear

The integrated hard panniers are a standout feature, but the latch mechanisms are known to wear or become stiff with age. Inspect them carefully before buying, as replacements can be costly.

Évaluation d'un acheteur d'occasion

Idéal pour
Touring riders wanting character over Germanic efficiency

"The overlooked tourer that punches well above its used price."

$5,500-$9,000 used

The Sprint GT is Triumph's answer to the BMW R1200RT question nobody asked, and honestly it's better for it. This is a proper long-distance tourer hiding inside a sport-tourer's clothing — the 1050 triple pulls effortlessly from 3,000rpm and sounds genuinely magnificent doing it. Ergonomics suit six-hour days without complaint, the screen works, and those panniers are genuinely useful rather than decorative. For used money, it's a serious machine. Buy one with the service history intact because the cam chain tensioner on earlier models can cause grief if neglected. Check the throttle bodies are balanced — rough idle usually means they've been ignored. Suspension is outdated by modern standards but competent, and Triumph dealers can be pricey. Budget for a new rear tyre immediately; they always seem to arrive on square rubber.
