Experienced riders wanting one exceptional all-purpose motorcycle

The H2 SX is genuinely unlike anything else in the used market. That supercharged inline-four produces 200bhp in SE trim, but the genius is how Kawasaki made it liveable — torque arrives smoothly, the electronics package is genuinely sophisticated, and the semi-active suspension on SE models transforms what should be an exhausting machine into something you can actually tour on. Prices have stabilised nicely, making this arguably the best performance bargain available right now. Buying used, you need to do homework. Check the supercharger belt service history religiously — Kawasaki specifies replacement intervals and skipping them is expensive stupidity. Avoid anything that's been modded heavily or track-day'd hard; the chassis handles abuse well but the drivetrain deserves respect. Tyre wear is brutal if previous owners rode it properly, so budget accordingly. SE models with the Öhlins electronic suspension are worth the premium over base versions — the difference in comfort over distance is enormous. This is a genuinely special motorcycle that rewards experienced riders who want one machine that does everything.
