Honda Rebel 1100

⚙️

Africa Twin Engine Inside

The Rebel 1100 shares its parallel-twin engine with the adventure-proven Honda Africa Twin, giving it a strong reliability pedigree. This 1084cc motor is well-tested and known for longevity with proper maintenance.

Watch the DCT Clutch

The optional Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) is a unique selling point but can be costly to service if neglected — budget for dealer-level maintenance. Buyers should verify DCT fluid has been changed per Honda's recommended intervals.

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Rebel 1100 holds its value exceptionally well due to high demand and Honda's brand reputation, often reselling at 80-90% of MSRP within the first two years. The DCT variant commands a noticeable premium on the used market.

Riders wanting style without sacrificing real performance

"The cruiser that actually rewards riders who like riding."

$8,500-$11,500 used

The Rebel 1100 is Honda doing what Honda does best — taking something familiar and making it genuinely good. That parallel twin pulls hard from low revs, and the DCT version especially makes city riding almost laughably easy. It's not trying to be an Sportster or a Bonneville; it's its own thing, and that confidence shows. Used prices have settled into reasonable territory now that the initial hype has cooled. Check the DCT model carefully — early owners reported occasional hesitation during aggressive downshifts, though most were sorted with software updates. Look for service records showing the valve clearance check around 16,000 miles. These engines are tough, but Honda's maintenance schedule exists for a reason. Cosmetic damage around the wide bars is common from parking lot tip-overs. If you want a cruiser that doesn't punish you for wanting to corner, this is genuinely it. It won't embarrass you at a stoplight or on a twisty back road. Thoroughly modern underneath that retro skin.
