Check the throttle-by-wire system responds crisply and inspect the switchgear, which occasionally develops minor electrical gremlins on early bikes. Service intervals are reasonable at 10,000 miles, so verify the history is clean. Suspension is competent rather than exciting, and the stock seat gets uncomfortable past 90 minutes — budget for an aftermarket unit. For the money, used Tridents represent exceptional value.
