The EX 250 Factory is essentially a KTM 250 EXC-F wearing Red Bull lipstick, and that's not a criticism — it means you're getting seriously sorted Austrian engineering at a slight discount. The WP XACT suspension is genuinely excellent for a 250 four-stroke enduro, and the fuel-injected motor pulls cleanly from low rpm without the fussy jetting nonsense you'd deal with on older carbed bikes. First 20 hours need checking — air filter, valve clearances, and whether the previous owner actually maintained the chain guide. These get thrashed. Used examples tend to arrive beaten and abused because they attract aggressive trail riders who mistake 'lightweight' for 'indestructible.' Inspect the frame welds around the subframe carefully and check the throttle body for dirt ingestion. A well-maintained one is a genuinely brilliant tool. A neglected one will cost you. The Factory trim adds Brembo brakes and upgraded grips — worth paying the premium over the base model if you can find one.
