The EC 250 Factory is essentially a KTM 250 EXC-F wearing red paint, which tells you almost everything you need to know. That's not a criticism — that platform is genuinely excellent. The Factory edition gets Brembo brakes, WP XACT suspension, and a map switch that actually matters in the woods. Used examples from 2021-2023 have been solid, but inspect the suspension linkage bearings carefully — they get neglected badly on bikes that've seen hard enduro use. Engine-wise, the two-stroke 250 is responsive and forgiving without being terrifying. It pulls cleanly through the mid-range and rewards smooth riders over aggressive ones. Check the reeds and look for milky coolant — some owners run these hard without proper maintenance intervals. Jetting matters too; find out where the bike's been ridden and whether it's been rejetted accordingly. Parts availability is the real win here. KTM network means you're never stranded waiting for obscure components. For the money on the used market, this is a seriously capable enduro tool that won't depreciate much further.
