Triumph Bonneville Scrambler 1200 Xc

The Triumph Bonneville Scrambler 1200 Xc has a top speed of 193 km/h, produces 90 hp and weighs 229 kg. Motoryk rates it 8.5/10.

🔧

Watch the Throttle Bodies

Some owners report rough idle and hesitation at low speeds, often traced to throttle body synchronization issues. A dealer sync service typically resolves this and should be checked during pre-purchase inspection.

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Scrambler 1200 XC holds its value exceptionally well compared to competitors, often retaining 75-80% of MSRP after two years. Its premium Triumph badge and limited production numbers keep used market demand high.

⚙️

Long-Travel Suspension Advantage

The XC features a class-leading 200mm of front suspension travel and a genuine off-road capable chassis, unlike many 'scramblers' that are purely cosmetic. This makes it one of the most versatile adventure-scrambler bikes actually usable on dirt roads.

Évaluation d'un acheteur d'occasion

8.5/10
Idéal pour
Adventure-curious riders wanting style and substance daily

"A brilliant all-rounder that earns every penny of its asking price."

$9,500-$13,500 used

The Scrambler 1200 XC is one of those bikes that actually delivers on its heritage-meets-modern promise. That 1200cc HT engine pulls hard from low down, the suspension travel is genuinely useful off-road rather than just cosmetic, and it looks absolutely stunning in the metal. Used examples from 2019-2021 are hitting the sweet spot right now — you're getting a lot of motorcycle for the money once depreciation has done its work. That said, go in with eyes open. The electronics package on early models had some quirky throttle-by-wire calibration that Triumph updated via dealer software — always check this has been done. The OEM scrambler pipes look great but rob some midrange punch, and a surprising number of previous owners fitted louder aftermarket exhausts that may have upset neighbours and voided dealer goodwill. Service intervals are reasonable at 10,000 miles but factor in valve checks — they're not cheap. Inspect the bash plate and frame sliders carefully. These get ridden hard by people who convinced themselves they were off-road heroes. Buy the cleanest, lowest-mileage example you can find.
