$4,500-$7,500 usedThe GTS Super 300 is genuinely one of the better used buys in the scooter world right now, but you need to go in with eyes open. The HPE engine introduced around 2019 transformed this thing — proper punch off the line, comfortable 70mph cruising, and enough torque to make city riding genuinely fun rather than frantic. Build quality is excellent; these Italian-made machines age well if the previous owner wasn't an idiot about maintenance. Check the variator and roller weights around 15,000 miles because neglected examples will feel sluggish and flat. The downsides are real though. Parts aren't cheap, and independent mechanics often won't touch them — you're mostly tied to Piaggio dealers whose labour rates will make your eyes water. The underseat storage is genuinely impressive for a 300, but the single rear shock setup means loaded up or two-up riding feels agricultural. Also, earlier pre-2019 models with the 278cc engine lack the top-end confidence you want for mixed urban and dual-carriageway use.
