Kymco Xciting 300

The Kymco Xciting 300 has a top speed of 135 km/h (estimated), produces 20 hp and weighs 178 kg. Motoryk rates it 6.5/10.

🔧

Strong Engine Reliability

The KYMCO Xciting 300 uses a proven single-cylinder 4-stroke engine known for durability when serviced regularly. Oil changes every 3,000 km and valve clearance checks are key to longevity.

⚠️

Watch the CVT Belt

The CVT drive belt is a known wear item and should be inspected around 20,000 km, as neglected belts can snap unexpectedly and cause costly damage to the variator system.

💰

Modest Resale Value

KYMCO scooters depreciate faster than Japanese brands like Honda or Yamaha, which means buyers get strong value purchasing used, but should expect lower returns when reselling.

6.8/10

Pros

+Entrega CVT fluida y discreta

City commuters wanting practical, affordable daily transport

"Solid urban workhorse if you respect its limitations."

$2,500-$4,500 used

The Xciting 300 sits in that awkward middle ground — too big for pure city work, not quite enough for regular dual-carriageway use. That said, for urban commuting with occasional A-road blasts, it's genuinely decent kit. The CVT is smooth, the underseat storage swallows a full-face helmet, and Kymco build quality has improved massively over the years. Don't let the badge put you off. Buying used, check the drive belt obsessively — owners skip this service and it'll leave you stranded. Front brake fade is a known gripe at higher speeds, so squeeze the lever hard on your test ride. The suspension is marshmallow-soft from factory, which suits commuting but feels vague if you push it. Parts availability varies wildly depending on your country, so sort that out before handing over cash.
