The 1441cc engine is almost comically powerful — 200-plus horsepower in stock trim — and it pulls hard enough to rearrange your organs at any speed in any gear. Early 2006-2011 models lack the electronic rider aids of later bikes, so treat those with respect. The chassis is surprisingly planted for something this heavy, and highway miles genuinely suit it better than canyon carving. For used buying, inspect the fairings carefully — replacement panels are expensive and fragile. Check for crash damage on the frame sliders and exhaust headers. Suspension sag on high-mileage examples is common, so bounce the forks and check rear linkage for slop. Anything over 30,000 miles deserves a compression test. Tyre condition matters enormously on a bike this fast — budget for fresh rubber immediately.
