Mechanically, they're surprisingly reliable if the previous owner wasn't a lunatic. Check the service history obsessively — valve clearances run about $800-1,200 and are due every 15,000 miles. Look for crash damage carefully, especially on the lower fairings and frame sliders. A clean 2020 with documented history is worth paying a premium for over a cheap 2022 with question marks.
