Yamaha Xsr 125 Review
"The best-looking 125 you can actually enjoy riding."
Used Buyer Review
The XSR125 is probably the sharpest-looking small-capacity bike Yamaha's built in years, and that retro styling isn't just skin deep — the chassis is genuinely sorted. For an A1 licence machine or returning rider, it handles with real confidence, especially in urban traffic where the lightweight and snappy throttle response make it feel properly alive. The 125cc single does its job without embarrassing itself, though don't expect miracles on dual carriageways. Used examples crop up regularly now, typically with low miles from nervous first-timers who binned it after six months. Check the fairings carefully — they scratch easily and replacements aren't cheap. The exhaust collector can show surface rust on neglected bikes, and the front brake feels wooden until you upgrade the fluid. Service history matters here; the valve clearances need checking and owners often skip it. Overall it's one of the better small bikes on the used market right now. Buy one with a full service history and you'll have a genuinely enjoyable machine that won't feel like a compromise.
