Triumph Scrambler 1200 Xc Review
"The sweet spot between genuine adventure and everyday soul."
Used Buyer Review
The Scrambler 1200 XC is genuinely one of the best modern classics you can buy used, and prices have softened nicely since the early adopters moved on. That 1200cc parallel twin is a peach — torquey from almost nothing, smooth enough for all-day rides, and it sounds properly purposeful without being antisocial. The suspension is a real highlight too, far better than most retro-styled bikes bother with. You can actually use those long-travel forks off-road without feeling like you're fighting the chassis. Check the early 2019-2020 examples carefully for the throttle-by-wire glitches that affected some bikes — Triumph did fix most via dealer updates, so ask for service history. Cosmetic corrosion on the exhaust headers appears surprisingly fast on neglected examples, so inspect carefully. Accessories also add up quickly on these; a used bike already kitted out with panniers and a skid plate is worth paying a small premium for. Overall, a used XC is genuinely brilliant value right now. You get proper adventure capability in a package that doesn't look try-hard.
