Triumph Bonneville Scrambler 1200 Xe Review
"The best-looking adventure scrambler that actually delivers on its promise."
Used Buyer Review
The Scrambler 1200 XE is the real deal — not a retro poseur but a genuinely capable adventure-scrambler that'll embarrass proper off-road bikes on trails while looking stunning doing it. That 1200cc parallel twin pulls hard from low revs, the long-travel suspension soaks up punishment most middleweight scramblers laugh at, and the riding position is spot-on for mixed terrain. Triumph nailed the balance between usable off-road ability and comfortable road manners here. Used, you need to check a few things. Early 2019-2020 bikes had minor throttle-by-wire glitches — ask if the dealer software update was applied. Inspect the exhaust headers for heat discoloration from off-road use; owners who actually ride these hard sometimes skip servicing. The spoked wheels tubeless setup is brilliant but verify no rim damage. Screen and hand guards are often missing on used examples, budget accordingly. Service intervals are 10,000 miles but previous owners aren't always diligent.
