Used Buyer Review

The Django 125 is genuinely one of the prettier retro scoots on the used market, and Peugeot has leaned hard into that Vespa-adjacent styling. It works. You'll get admiring glances outside the coffee shop, no question. The build quality feels a notch above the usual Chinese-origin competition, and the ride is composed enough for city commuting without beating you up on longer suburban runs. That said, go in with clear eyes. Parts availability is the elephant in the room โ€” Peugeot's UK dealer network is thin, and sourcing specific components can involve waiting and hunting. The 125cc engine is competent but never exciting, and the underseat storage is disappointingly shallow compared to Japanese rivals. Check service history religiously on any used example; the CVT belt and rollers need attention around 6,000 miles and owners often skip it. If you find a clean, well-serviced example under three years old, it's a legitimate buy. Just don't expect Honda reliability or Vespa prestige at scooter money.

Pros

+Genuinely attractive retro styling
+Composed, comfortable city ride
+Solid build quality overall
+Good weather protection fairing
+Decent resale value retained

Cons

-Parts availability genuinely problematic
-Shallow underseat storage disappoints
-Thin dealer support network
-CVT maintenance often neglected
warning
Avoid if

You need reliable dealer support and easy servicing
