Used Buyer Review

The Panigale V4 S is genuinely one of the greatest motorcycles ever built, and buying used is the smart play β€” let someone else absorb that brutal first-year depreciation. The 1103cc V4 is an absolute animal, pulling hard from 6,000rpm straight through to its 14,500rpm redline with a soundtrack that'll make you question every other bike you've ever owned. The Γ–hlins electronic suspension and cornering ABS/traction control package on the S trim genuinely works on the road, not just the track. That said, go in with eyes open. These bikes are maintenance-heavy β€” desmo services run $800-1,500 every 15,000 miles, and skipped intervals are a dealbreaker. Always pull the service history. Check for crash damage religiously; plenty of these have seen trackdays, and fairings are criminally expensive. Battery tenders are non-negotiable, or you'll be replacing batteries constantly. Also expect the heat β€” stop-and-go traffic in summer is genuinely uncomfortable.

Pros

+Otherworldly V4 engine character
+Best-in-class electronics package
+Stunning depreciation from new
+Track-capable straight from showroom
+Γ–hlins suspension genuinely transforms handling

Cons

-Expensive desmo service intervals
-Brutal urban heat management
-Crash damage risk high
-Fragile fairings cost fortune

You skip services or lack mechanical sympathy
