Cfmoto Cl-x 700 Sport Review
"Punches well above its price tag if you do the legwork."
Used Buyer Review
The CL-X 700 Sport is one of those bikes that genuinely surprises you. The parallel twin pulls cleanly from low revs and has enough midrange grunt to feel properly quick on B-roads without scaring you into a ditch. CFMOTO's build quality has jumped considerably since their earlier budget-bin reputation — switchgear feels solid, the TFT dash is crisp, and the Brembo-adjacent brakes actually have decent feel. For the money, used examples are almost embarrassingly good value. That said, do your homework before handing over cash. Check the chain and sprockets hard — owners who bought these as a first 'proper' bike sometimes neglected basic maintenance. Parts availability is improving but still patchy outside major cities, so factor in longer wait times for anything beyond consumables. Dealer network is thin in some regions, which matters when warranty questions arise. Pre-2022 examples can have a slightly notchy gearbox that later units mostly sorted out.
