Triumph Scrambler 900
The Triumph Scrambler 900 was introduced in 2006 as part of Triumph's modern classic lineup, drawing inspiration from the off-road scramblers of the 1960s. It was built around the air-cooled 865cc parallel-twin engine and featured high-mounted exhausts, knobby tires, and a rugged aesthetic that paid homage to the original Triumph scramblers raced on dirt tracks and desert courses. It remained in production until around 2016, when it was eventually succeeded by the more modern Scrambler 1200 range introduced in 2019.

What Buyers Should Know
Watch the Throttle Bodies
Some owners report rough idle and fueling issues stemming from throttle body synchronization going out of tune. Regular dealer servicing at the 6,000-mile intervals helps keep this in check.
Strong Resale Value
The Scrambler 900 holds its value notably well compared to competitors, often retaining 70-80% after two years due to Triumph's brand appeal and the scrambler segment's sustained popularity.
Torquey Parallel Twin
The 900cc high-torque parallel twin engine delivers a broad, usable powerband that makes it genuinely capable both on city streets and light off-road use, not just a styling exercise.
