Carb issues, tired variators, and cracked plastic are basically guaranteed at this point. The build quality never matched the styling ambition — thin panels, average finish. CVT maintenance gets ignored by most previous owners, so budget for a full belt and roller service immediately. Electrics can be flaky too, particularly the dash and indicators on higher-mileage bikes. If the price is right — under $800 — and it runs cleanly, it'll serve a commuter well enough.
