Mv Agusta Rivale 800

Was Käufer wissen sollten
Triple Engine Character
The Rivale 800 uses MV Agusta's punchy 798cc inline triple engine, delivering a distinctive exhaust note and strong mid-range torque that sets it apart from typical naked bikes. However, this engine can run hot in slow traffic, so watch for cooling system condition in used examples.
Watch Electrical Systems
Early Rivale 800 models (2014-2016) are known for occasional electrical gremlins, including dashboard glitches and throttle-by-wire sensor issues. Always verify the full electronics suite — traction control, ABS, and ride modes — are functioning correctly before buying.
Steep Depreciation Curve
MV Agustas depreciate significantly after the first few years, meaning used Rivale 800s can offer strong value for money compared to their original MSRP. The trade-off is that specialty Italian parts and dealer servicing costs remain high regardless of purchase price.

Bewertung von gebrauchten Käufern
"Breathtaking when right, brutal when wrong — buy carefully."
$7,000-$11,000 usedThe Rivale 800 is genuinely one of the most stunning motorcycles ever bolted together, and that Triple motor — shared with the Brutale — absolutely sings between 6,000 and 11,000 rpm. You'll forgive a lot when the engine sounds like that. But you need to go in with eyes open: MV Agusta's build quality during this era was inconsistent at best, and ownership costs will humble you. Budget for dealer servicing because DIY intervals are tight and the electronics can throw tantrums. Inspect any used example obsessively. Check the throttle bodies for sync issues, look for oil weeping around the engine cases, and ask hard questions about the service history. Skipped services are a red flag — these engines don't forgive neglect. The suspension is genuinely excellent for a naked bike, but aftermarket support is limited compared to Japanese alternatives. If you find a well-maintained, fully serviced example with receipts, it's a rewarding, characterful machine unlike anything else. If you find a cheap one with mystery history, walk away without hesitation.
