Kymco Like 200i

The Kymco Like 200i has a top speed of 105 km/h, produces 11.5 hp and weighs 121 kg. Motoryk rates it 6.5/10.

Fuel Injection Advantage

The 'i' in Like 200i stands for fuel injection, giving it easier cold starts and better fuel efficiency than carbureted competitors. This also means fewer tune-up headaches over time.

⚠️

Watch the CVT Belt

The continuously variable transmission belt is a known wear item that should be inspected every 8,000–10,000 km. Neglected belts can snap unexpectedly, so always ask for service records when buying used.

💰

Steady Resale Value

KYMCO's reputation for durability keeps the Like 200i holding its value better than many Chinese-brand scooters in the same class. Its retro styling also keeps buyer demand consistent in urban markets.

"Cheap urban runabout that earns its keep, nothing more."

$1,200-$2,400 used

The Kymco Like 200i is one of those retro-styled scoots that looks better than it actually performs, but that's not necessarily a dealbreaker depending on what you need it for. The 170cc fuel-injected single pulls reasonably well around town, cold starts are reliable thanks to the EFI, and the vintage Vespa-esque styling genuinely turns heads. For pure urban commuting under 30 miles a day, it honestly does the job without complaint. Used examples tend to cluster around the 3,000-8,000 mile range since most owners baby them or lose interest fast. Check the fuel injector connectors — they corrode if the bike sat outside regularly. Fork seals go soft around 15,000 miles, and the rear drum brake feels wooden from day one, never mind after a few years of use. Parts availability is the real gamble; Kymco dealers are thin on the ground in most markets. Don't pay more than $1,800 for anything over four years old regardless of mileage. The depreciation is brutal and works entirely in your favor as a used buyer.
