Ktm 1090 Adventure
The KTM 1090 Adventure was introduced in 2017 as a mid-displacement successor to the 1050 Adventure, slotting below the flagship 1290 Super Adventure in KTM's lineup. It was powered by a refined 1050cc LC8 parallel-twin engine bored out to 1090cc, offering a balance between touring comfort and off-road capability. The model was discontinued after 2019 when KTM restructured its Adventure range, replacing it with the 790 Adventure and 1190 Adventure variants.

What Buyers Should Know
LC8 Engine Reliability
The 1090's parallel-twin LC8 engine is widely regarded as one of KTM's most refined and durable motors. With proper maintenance intervals, many owners report 60,000+ trouble-free miles.
Watch the Throttle Bodies
A known issue on the 1090 is throttle body sync falling out of adjustment, causing rough idle or hesitation. Budget for periodic throttle body synchronization, especially on higher-mileage examples.
Strong Resale Value
The 1090 Adventure holds its value better than many competitors due to its short production run (2017–2018) and cult following among adventure riders. A well-maintained example rarely sits unsold for long.
