Honda Shine 125

The Honda Shine 125 has a top speed of 95 km/h, produces 10.7 hp and weighs 126 kg. Motoryk rates it 7.2/10.

🔧

Proven Engine Reliability

The Honda Shine 125 uses a tried-and-tested air-cooled single-cylinder engine known for crossing 80,000–1,00,000 km with minimal major repairs when serviced regularly. It's one of the most dependable commuter engines in its segment.

⚠️

Watch the Cam Chain

A common issue reported by owners is cam chain rattling after 40,000–50,000 km, which if ignored can lead to costly engine damage. Early replacement at the first sign of noise saves significant repair bills.

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Honda Shine consistently holds 60–70% of its resale value after 3 years, outperforming most rivals in the 125cc segment. The Honda badge and wide service network make it highly desirable in the used bike market.

7.8/10

Rem drum depan menginspirasi nol kepercayaan diri

Ulasan Pembeli Bekas

7.2/10
Terbaik untuk
Urban commuters wanting reliable low-cost daily transport

"Sensible, unbreakable commuter that rewards practicality over passion."

$800-$1,800 used

The Shine 125 is Honda's bread-and-butter commuter, and honestly it shows — in both good and bad ways. Engine is buttery smooth, starts first kick every time, and the 125cc motor just refuses to die even with questionable maintenance histories. I've seen these things run fine with 60,000km on them. For city riding and daily errands, it's genuinely hard to fault. That said, don't buy one expecting excitement. It's a sensible tool, not a motorcycle you fall in love with. The brakes are adequate at best — drum rear will feel wooden and the front disc on newer models is mediocre. Check the chain wear carefully on used examples because owners often neglect it, and replacing sprockets adds up fast. Look for 2019 onwards if you can — Honda refreshed the frame geometry and added better ergonomics. Pre-2018 units have a wobble in the headstock that shows up after heavy use. Inspect welds around the frame near the footpegs. Overall it's sensible, reliable transportation that won't embarrass you.
