Bajaj Platina 110

The Bajaj Platina 110 has a top speed of ~90 km/h (estimated real-world; manufacturer does not officially publish top speed), produces 8.6 hp and weighs ~123 kg. Motoryk rates it 6.5/10.

The Bajaj Platina 110 is an evolution of the original Bajaj Platina commuter motorcycle, which was first introduced in India in 2006. The 110cc variant was launched around 2018-2019, upgraded from the earlier 100cc engine to offer better performance while retaining the fuel-efficient commuter character. It is notable for its SNS (Spring in Spring) rear suspension and ComforTec features, making it one of the most comfortable entry-level commuters in the Indian market.

What Buyers Should Know

Excellent Fuel Efficiency

The Bajaj Platina 110 delivers around 70-80 kmpl under real-world conditions, making it one of the most fuel-efficient bikes in its segment. This translates to significantly lower running costs for daily commuters.

🔧

Watch the Carburetor

A common issue reported by owners is carburetor choking and idling problems, especially after 20,000-30,000 km. Regular cleaning and timely servicing can prevent this from becoming a costly repair.

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Platina 110 holds resale value well in the used bike market due to Bajaj's strong brand reputation and wide service network across India. A well-maintained unit can retain 55-65% of its value after 3 years.

Used Buyer Review

6.5/10
Best for
Daily commuters prioritizing economy over everything else

"The most sensible, soulless motorcycle your money can currently buy."

$600-$1,200 used

The Platina 110 is Bajaj doing exactly what Bajaj does best — building a dead-simple, unglamorous workhorse that refuses to die. The SNS rear suspension genuinely earns its reputation on broken Indian roads, and the 115cc engine (they stretched it, whatever the badge says) returns fuel economy numbers that'll make you question reality. Used examples are everywhere, parts are laughably cheap, and any mechanic with a spanner can fix one blindfolded. Don't expect excitement though — this thing has the personality of a tax form. Buying used, focus hard on the front disc brake if equipped, as budget calipers corrode badly when neglected. Check the suspension linkages — they're the one component that actually wears. Mileage matters less than service history here; these engines tolerate abuse but hate dirty oil. Avoid anything above 40,000km unless the price is stupid low. Electrical gremlins are rare but annoying when they show up.
