Check the variator rollers — worn ones cause sluggish acceleration and owners ignore them completely. Carbureted models pre-2009 can gum up if stored with fuel in the bowl. Budget $150-200 for a proper service before trusting it. Top speed sits around 55-58mph realistically, so highway riding is miserable. Urban and suburban use? It's hard to beat for the money.
