The Aerox 155 VVA is genuinely one of the smarter used buys in the maxi-scooter segment right now. That variable valve actuation system actually works — you feel a noticeable kick past 6,000rpm that most 155cc scoots completely lack. It's properly quick for city riding, handles highway stints better than you'd expect, and the underseat storage swallows a full-face helmet without drama. Build quality is solid Yamaha stuff. That said, buying used means doing your homework. Check the CVT belt religiously — owners who thrash these in stop-start traffic often neglect it past 20,000km. The front fork seals are a known weak point on earlier units, so get underneath and look for oil weeping. Brake fluid changes are often skipped entirely on these, which is genuinely dangerous. Cosmetic plastics crack easily and replacements aren't always cheap. Overall it's a genuinely capable machine that rewards riders who want something more than basic A-to-B transport. Just budget for a CVT service and brake fluid flush before you do anything else.
