Yamaha Jupiter Mx 150 Review
"Dependable urban workhorse that rewards careful used-bike shoppers."
Used Buyer Review
The Jupiter MX 150 is Yamaha's bread-and-butter commuter done properly. That 150cc fuel-injected engine pulls cleanly from low revs, and the 5-speed gearbox clicks through gates with satisfying precision. It's not exciting, but reliability is genuinely impressive — these things rack up serious kilometers without drama if the previous owner wasn't completely negligent about oil changes. Buying used, your biggest headaches will be the front fork seals (they weep on high-mileage examples) and checking the cam chain tensioner for rattle on cold starts. The disc brake up front bites well when fresh, but worn pads are common on neglected bikes — factor that into your negotiation. Carburetor versions below 2019 can run rich if the jets are dirty, causing rough idle and poor fuel economy. Overall, it's a sensible, durable workhorse that holds its value reasonably well. Don't overpay for one with obvious neglect, but a clean example with service records is genuinely hard to fault for urban daily riding.
