Suzuki Vstrom 1000 Abs Review
"The sensible adventurer's choice that rarely disappoints experienced riders."
Used Buyer Review
The V-Strom 1000 ABS is one of the most honest motorcycles you'll ever throw a leg over. That 1037cc V-twin pulls hard from low revs, the ergonomics suit almost every body type, and Suzuki built these things to genuinely last. Find a clean 2014-2018 example with decent service history and you're laughing. Pre-purchase inspection should focus on the throttle body sync — they drift and cause rough idle — and check the rear subframe for cracks if it's been loaded up with luggage regularly. Used prices are brilliant right now because everyone's chasing the newer XT models or the competition's shinier kit. That's your gain. Fuel economy sits comfortably around 45-50mpg, passenger comfort is genuinely good, and the suspension handles light gravel and long motorway slogs equally well without being spectacular at either. Wind protection is adequate but not class-leading. The electronics package on earlier models is basic by modern standards — traction control is rudimentary and there's no cornering ABS. Live with that and you've got an enormously capable, reliable adventure tourer that won't embarrass you anywhere.
