Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm Review
"A beautiful, flawed thumper that rewards patience over performance."
Used Buyer Review
The Desert Storm is essentially a Classic 350 wearing khaki paint and chrome accents, which tells you everything about what you're buying — a slow, heavy, characterful thumper that prioritizes vibes over velocity. That 346cc single makes around 20 horsepower, and you'll feel every one of them. It's not fast. It's not supposed to be. What it does brilliantly is look stunning parked outside a coffee shop and thump along country roads at 50mph with genuine charm. Buying used, inspect the electrics obsessively — pre-2015 examples are notorious for gremlins, dodgy indicators, and switchgear that corrodes badly. Check the center stand pivot and the fork seals, both common wear points. The UCE engine itself is actually pretty robust if serviced regularly, but oil changes get skipped on these because owners think they're decorative objects. Parts are cheap and plentiful, the community is enormous, and any mechanic can work on one. Just go in knowing you're buying a mood, not a motorcycle.
