Used Buyer Review

The Kymco People S 125 is exactly what it looks like โ€” a sensible, no-nonsense urban scooter that won't set your pulse racing but absolutely will get you to work without drama. Kymco's build quality sits genuinely above the cheap Chinese competition, and these things run forever with basic maintenance. The fuel injection makes cold starts effortless, and the underseat storage swallows a full-face helmet without complaint. Not bad for something this price bracket. Used, you're looking at a straightforward buy provided you check the usual stuff โ€” front fork seals, brake pads, and crucially the CVT belt which owners often neglect. High-mileage examples above 15,000 miles need a belt inspection immediately. The 125cc single pulls adequately in city traffic but runs out of puff embarrassingly on faster A-roads. Keep it urban and it earns its keep every single day.

Pros

+Bulletproof Kymco reliability
+Excellent underseat storage
+Fuel injection cold starts
+Low running costs
+Solid resale value

Cons

-Gutless above 45mph
-CVT belt often neglected
-Uninspiring riding experience
-Weak front braking feel
