Used Buyer Review

Look, the Agility 50 is exactly what it looks like โ€” a cheap, cheerful runabout that Kymco built for people who need basic transport and not much else. For city commuting under 30mph, it honestly does the job without drama. The build quality is a step above Chinese no-name scooters, and parts are actually findable, which matters enormously when you're buying used. Reliability is decent if the previous owner wasn't an idiot about oil changes. Here's what you need to know buying used: check the variator belt and rollers immediately โ€” they wear out and previous owners almost never replace them. Corroded carb jets are basically guaranteed on anything sitting over a year. Budget $150-200 for a proper refresh and you'll be fine. The 50cc engine is genuinely bulletproof once sorted. Just don't expect it to keep pace with traffic above 35mph โ€” it's physically incapable, and that's a real safety consideration depending on where you're riding.

Pros

+Parts actually available nationwide
+Bulletproof simple engine
+Excellent urban fuel economy
+Decent step-up from no-names
+Low maintenance costs overall

Cons

-Seriously limited top speed
-Cheap plastic feels it
-Variator wears out constantly
-No highway capability whatsoever
warning
Avoid if

You need roads above 35mph ever
