Indian Scout Classic Review
"A genuinely great cruiser that mostly lives up to its reputation."
Used Buyer Review
The Scout is one of those bikes that actually delivers on its promise. Indian nailed the proportions — it looks like a proper cruiser without being a cartoon of one. The 1133cc V-twin pulls hard from low revs, and that 60hp figure undersells how satisfying the midrange torque feels in real-world riding. Used examples from 2015 onwards are generally solid, but check the front forks for seeping seals and inspect the belt drive carefully on higher-mileage bikes. Previous owners love these things, which means maintenance is often better than average. The ergonomics are where it gets complicated. Shorter riders will love the low seat height, but anyone over 6ft will feel folded up after an hour. It's genuinely not a touring machine regardless of what accessories you bolt on. Footpegs catch on aggressive cornering too — something to test before buying. Pricing on used Scouts is realistic now. The initial hype has settled, and you can find clean examples without paying a premium.
