Indian Chief Bobber Review
"A genuinely special cruiser that rewards buyers who do their homework."
Used Buyer Review
The Chief Bobber is genuinely one of the most characterful bikes you can buy used right now. That 116ci Thunderstroke V-twin delivers torque in waves — it's an honest, old-school riding experience that Harley's Milwaukee-Eight crowd honestly can't quite match for sheer mechanical drama. Ride quality on the solo seat is brutal for anything over 90 minutes, fair warning. Buying used, inspect the leather carefully — it cracks if the previous owner ignored it. The forward controls position is polarizing, so test-ride before committing. Electronics are solid, ABS works well, and the engine internals are genuinely tough. Pre-2020 bikes had some minor oil consumption quirks worth checking. Ask specifically about that. Parts availability is decent but not Harley-level, and independent mechanics sometimes charge a premium simply because they're less familiar with the platform. That said, reliability record is strong. If the price is right — and used examples have dropped nicely — this is a stunning-looking, soul-satisfying machine that earns its keep on weekend blasts.
