Honda Rebel 1100 Dct Review
"The most accessible big-twin cruiser that won't embarrass you anywhere."
Used Buyer Review
The Rebel 1100 DCT is one of those bikes that shouldn't work on paper but absolutely does in the real world. That parallel twin punches well above its displacement, pulling hard from basically idle with a satisfying grunt that sounds genuinely mean for a Honda. The DCT gearbox divides opinion but honestly, once you stop fighting it and let it do its thing in Sport mode, it's brilliant in traffic. Used examples are holding value stubbornly, so don't expect a steal. Build quality is typically Honda bulletproof — these things don't break. Check for crash damage on the low-slung exhausts and inspect the DCT actuator for any warning lights before buying. Suspension is the weak link, wallowing through mid-corner bumps if you're pushing hard. It's tuned for cruising, not canyon carving, and that's fine if you're honest about what you're buying. Previous owners often lowered them further, so verify ride height hasn't been butchered.
