Honda Activa 6g Review
"The sensible choice that quietly outperforms every flashier alternative."
Used Buyer Review
The Activa 6G is Honda doing what Honda does best — building something boringly reliable that just refuses to die. I've seen these things hit 60,000 kilometres on original engines with nothing more than oil changes and a belt swap. That's not luck, that's engineering discipline. The OBD2 compliance and BS6 engine updates make the newer units cleaner and smoother than the 5G, and that silent start system is genuinely impressive for a scooter at this price point. Used market is flooded with them, which cuts both ways. Plenty of choice means plenty of badly maintained examples too. Check the telescopic forks for leaks — owners ignore them until they're weeping. The drum rear is adequate but uninspiring in panic stops. Battery condition is critical; the idle start-stop system absolutely hammers weak batteries. Buy a well-documented example under 30,000km and you're getting one of the most sensible two-wheelers on the used market. It's not exciting. It was never meant to be.
